Bills

We are moving to uk soon and we wonder how much we are expected to pay for the bills ( council tax, electricity, water, internet, gas etc) for a family of four and we are moderate users. I guess we would stay in an accommodation around 1000 sq feet. I know it varies but we would appreciate it if you could give us a general figure
thx a lot

Where abouts in the uk are you thinking of moving to?

Impossible to say. Council tax will depend on your council tax band.
Gas and electric will depend on your usage- moderate to you might be really high compared to others.
Tv license will be around £13 per month. Can say that for sure 🙂
Water will depend on whether you have a water meter and location. I pay £18pm but my friend pays £30
Internet- around £30 for full fibre depending on if you get a good deal.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children under 6) live in a mortgaged 3 bed in the south west. Just for household bills inc food and a car loan are £1900 a month. I imagine this will be going up shortly with the energy increase and like pp have said your bills will reflect your area and choices (type of housing/tv entertainment/energy usage).

4 bed semi in London. Per month it's Water £62, gas and electric £160, tv licence £13, council tax £205, home insurance £42

We don't pay for broadband and tv currently.
