Washing machine not rinsing enough

I have a Meile prestige plus and live in a hard water area. Sometimes at the end of a cycle I see a few suds still coming out when spinning so I add an extra rinse and spin when it’s finished. I just put in a pair of jeans with no detergent and the water in the wash is soapy? I’m using Bio powder -

Anyone else has this issue , or ideas why this is happening?

Yes, I've started a thread about it before, too! Also hard water area, although my machine is a Haier. My old machine was a cheaper brand and I didn't have an issue.

I think it's a combination of many things. Modern eco friendly machines don't use much water on a normal cycle so you might need to reduce the amount of detergent.

There might be detergent build-up in your machine. Make sure you are doing regular hot washes (60C for towels for example) and also occasionally an empty wash with a washing machine cleaner to get rid of any build-up.

I find some detergents cause more of a problem than others. I have recently changed to Violets eco friendly washing powder and it doesn't create much suds anyway so I rarely have this issue now. I used Smol before and it was just terrible for this, I was regularly having to do multiple extra rinses.

And generally just less detergent, I know I was probably using too much at some point.

Ah a reply Thanks

I do 60 washes for towels and white sheets and will reduce powder

What cleans the washing machine? Soda crystals wash?

I'm sure there was an AMA on here with a washing detergent technologist. They said you never need more than a tablespoon of powder.

I'd put it though a 90 wash with descaler.

Then, I'd put the powder in the actual drum from now on.

Also, fabric conditioner should kill suds. Do you use it?

Have you cleaned the filter recently?
