I have a meal in the freezer that I am planning to serve tomorrow night. Can I defrost it on the stive tiday then keeo it in the fridge before heating it up again tomorrow night? Or is that a big no-no on the food hygiene front?
Thanks

Why do you need to defrost it on the stove? Wouldn't it defrost anyway if put in the fridge overnight?

thaw in fridge overnight, or at a pinch at room temp from tomorrow morning.

don't leave it anywhere warm

Thanks for advice - and apologies for bad typing in my post. Am multi-tasking by MN'ing whilst making soup. I will defrost in the fridge. I wanted to thaw it quicker today just to reassure myself that there was enough food to go around. I can't tell so well through the platic freezer container.
