Toy boxes

Does anyone have any advice about where to find a good, large wooden toy box with a safety lid to avoid trapping fingers? I can find nice looking ones on the net but only about 60cm in length and looking for something a bit bigger.

We have a good sized one from Ikea - £70 I think.

84cm long, 35 deep

We have an old antique 90cm long wooden trunk from the local antiques market. it looks good and also has tons of space. There are loads on eBay if you search under antique toy box or blanket box. Not sure what style you're after.

excellent - thanks for the advice, looking for a functional box but something that will look ok downstairs - no other criteria really

I got a good one from ikea

Something like this?
Mine is more decorative with brass studs and it was cheaper.

Thanks for all those ideas. Went to ikea today but all quite small, might look into a wicker chest.
