Clothes with holes

Second piece in a few days.....

With holes!!! Proper ones!

Now let me be very honest here. I had been wearing some clothes with little holes, ok? Blush I had a pair of trousers that had a problem and gave my clothes teeny tiny holes.... slowly I have been replacing these clothes. The tshirt in the picture is one of those. But I can assure you the tiny holes were not like that!!! Hmm

Is my cat helping me get rid of clothes I shouldn't have anymore? Is there something in my laundry basket that I should be very afraid of?! ConfusedConfused I don't understand it.....

Is your washing machine tearing them?

user68396930 · 27/01/2022 14:48

Moths do this. That why people use moth balls. But they stink

grey12 · 27/01/2022 14:56

The 2 pieces I'm talking about were stored in different places.... i will definitely put some moth balls out though, thanks for the reminder

I did consider the washing machine but the other clothes are fine..... a LOT of clothes go through that machine (we're 6 in the house)

The material of that t shirt looks very thin and delicate. It would be easy for a small hole to get stretched into a bigger hole by a wash cycle.

I get little holes in the tummy area and use Holé button covers to help stop this.

I think quartz worktops cause these holes.

SomewhereOnlyIKnow · 28/01/2022 07:15

Mine get tiny holes where my tummy is. I’m assuming it’s from when I’m cooking and washing up, and my top rubs on the edge of the work surface. Wearing a pinny has stopped it.

If you drive a lot, seat belts can cause this too. Lots of my old tops had holes where the seat belt sat across my tummy.

Buckles on jeans, the edge of kitchen counters. Both have caused numerous holes in tshirts right at the bottom of the stomach area for me. Since I stopped wearing proper jeans and switched to thick jeggings I haven't had as much of an issue.

That's what I've done Wink

I get the pull on jeans from Next. I found after my last birth and was accustomed to the pregnancy jeans Grin

i have this and it is moths. They are very small and they have also made holes in our wool carpet, We have hoovered and cleaned cupboards etc but think it’s quite a problem getting rid of them

QuizzicalEyebrows · 28/01/2022 15:06

Belts, cats, moths, washing machine, poltergeist

So it is a possibility that there is some kind of monster! 😱

I think its you somehow! My DH has this problem. All his clothes et holes in them! Cant be the washing machine or moths because are clothes are washed and stored together.. Mine never have these holes.

grey12 · 28/01/2022 17:55

Don't really remember when I wore that tshirt tbh.... but I can't think of an activity that would have caused those holes
