Trofast storage systems

Hello. I am looking for toy storage and organization system that actually work. I came across the trofast and feel like it is a good idea. I am stuck on the "simple" decision of the color! I know I want natural wood but have heard that the wood does not have rails and the bins fall out. Do you know if that color comes with the rails you can attach?

I much prefer the wooden ones. The boxes go into grooves rather than being attached to stuck on bits of plastic. If you like the look of the wood it's a no-brainer.

Didn't even realize there was a difference. We've got wood and it works just fine

From what I remember the trays come out, which is sort of the point with them.

I'd go for a drawer unit if you don't want tubs, but Trofast is great for toys.

I had it when mine were little for toys in wood. Now they are teenagers it's no longer full of toys but I still use it for other stuff. It's true that the boxes at the bottom that I've filled with tins of food fall out, but that's my own fault for filling it with heavy stuff. The boxes that are full of other odds and ends are fine and don't fall out

i have the wood version and no issue with trays falling out - they slot into grooves. They are extremely well used and pulled in and out in our playroom!

We went with the wood. Our Trofast is 21 years old and is on child number 3. We painted it for him and it looks great. Just painted it with grey outdoor paint as I recall. It's a great piece of furniture. I'll be sad to see it go (may keep it for the grandkids!) It's the one that looks like steps IYKWIM

The wooden ones have grooves and the intended trays/boxes sit very well in them for years
You can also put shelves in the grooves. These shelves are very easy to slide out

Dd1's currently using 3 of the boxes removed from the unit for her A level books and dd2 uses one of them for her GCSE books.
