Can poppers that come apart be fixed?

The sort that go under the legs of toddler dungarees? I bought some lovely Toby Tiger dungarees 2nd hand but the poppers come apart after about 10 mins of wear which leaves baby flashing her nappy . Is there anything that will fix them?

If they are metal (like the ones on baby gros) give the sticky out bit a tiny tap with a hammer to slightly flatten it.

I do mean a tiny tap. If you whack it flat then they won't fasten at all.

I did this with all my DC's baby and toddler dungarees.
They certainly needed it by the time they were passed down to DC3.
