Orange juice sick on carpet

Hi. So back in December I had a big and all I had in my stomach was fresh orange juice (apologies )
I initially cleaned it with soap and white vinaigrette spray to no avail. My pregnancy Bose got the better of me and I now can’t stand the smell. Last night I used fairy liquid tan with hot water and scrubbed it. Put some dry bicarbonate soda on top and left over night and it actually smells worse today. I’ve hoovered it and sprayed some fabreeze but I am literally gagging. It’s like I disturbed some smells and it’s not going away. Any ideas what to do next ?

Get a carpet cleaner out if you can afford it. If not, buy an odour neutraliser xx

My DD was once sick all over the carpet. The nearest thing to me to clean up was head and shoulders shampoo. In a moment of desperation I used it with hot water. The carpet smelt lovely after it dried and there wasn’t even a hint of a sick smell. It’s a bit random, but it worked well.
