Morning all

DH is back to work and we had friends staying last night, so all up bar DS2, who is really struggling with his teeth and did not go down until midnight

Morning stuff nearly done, although we are going to be off out to Harrogate this AM for a nice walk and poss window shop.

when I get back I must pop the bedding from the spare in the wash as we have our God daugters (18) new boyfriend staying on Friday night and them both (in seperate bed - house rules) on saturday

Good morning all

I hope everyone had a pleasant and relaxed Christmas. We have a quiet day today, then away again tomorrow, so I'll be spending today FLYing.

I have one more load of washing to do (one just finished) and need to go to the shops for milk, and other than that, have general tidying/finding homes for all the christmas presents to do.

DD2 is still asleep She was up il almost midnight too, but I can't blame teeth....she is 7! Just overexcited I think. I'm going o make the dds come shopping with me (they hae i) as they need to get out too.

We had a good time too. My dread of spending time with dh was unnecessary - it all went pretty smoothy, quite relaxed and we all got on pretty well
PiL were here for the day yesterday and went mad on presents for the kids as usual - why do they have to buy such big toys?! I'll be trying to find homes for everything today...

Dh is off work till next week so we have lots of lazy days ahead.

I need to do some washing and put all the presents away. I'll try to get dd to write some thank you letters later if I can.

We need to have a walk and get some fresh air too.

Right, off to have a bath then try to get the kids dressed...

My front room is a shrine to the Wii. I'm having to hide in the kitchen. I'll NEVER get to watch my Christmas DVDs at this rate At least I'm getting to read my books

The household routines have gone to pot. Why did I feel the need to have a bath at 10am? It's the first time I've got dressed in 48hrs...what a slob Well I didn't want to take my Penfold t-shirt off

Better frame myself really. I'll be back with a progress report later

Glad everyone has had a nice Christmas. DD also hasn't been going to bed till late, anything new always upsets her sleeping .
DP has just phoned to say he should home about 1:00 so am going to give DS a quick lunch and then go for a walk into town as we also all need to get out for some calorie burning excercise.(me)
Will be turning off CBeebies latr and watching our new Shrek 3 DVD

Ed is a snot monster ATM. He's coughing and sliming everywhere. He's also got scratches round his cheeks. I keep swabbing him with tea tree and witch hazel. I don't want another bout of impetigo

Can't see Ed and DH letting me watch my Coast boxset in a full marathon

Oh, am I here on my own? Is this the Grouchy does the housework thread?

I've done my to do list and DH has demanded that I stop, which is nice...oh I haven't done the putting away...ho hum

Can I keep my Christmas name forever - I kind of like it...

Sorry not been around much but Dh doesn't go back to work until after new year so he is getting under my feet!!!
