Surface clean cuddly toy

My toddler received a large stuffed Peppa toy for Christmas. It’s unfortunately starting to look a bit grubby already as she enjoys rolling around the floor with it and unfortunately it is surface clean only as she has a voice box inside her 😩.

Looking for advice from more talented cleaners than I about how to tackle the job.

We're just bumping this thread in case anyone's around with some tips for the OP. Smile

I’ve used a washing up sponge in the past and warm water with lots of washing up liquid. If you rub in circles the dirt usually comes off. Then used a cloth and clean water to rinse the washing up liquid off.

I remember Kim & Aggie cleaning a soft toy using a well wrung out face cloth and soap bar. Maybe try a small area to see how it goes before doing the whole thing.

I did surgery on a similar toy to remove the sound box, machine washed and sewed up afterwards.

It was a beloved toy that was vomited on.
