Any tips for dust magnet furniture?

Aside from wiping down everyday 😂

It's antique wood with a shiny/varnished surface and there is visible dust half a day after cleaning. Nothing else is dirty and I promise my house isn't swirling with dust!

I've used normal furniture polish and read somewhere that diluted fabric softener helps (it doesn't) so tried that.

Any tips or is this just the price I pay for Edwardian style?

I'd like to know the answer to this. I have a unit that sounds like the same finish. Currently giving it a once over with a microfibre cloth every other day.

Another who would like to know the answer. Next furniture I buy has to be dust coloured. I wipe with a very slightly dampened cloth but it comes back as soon as I turn my back.

I think I read somewhere that if you wipe it over with a tumble dryer sheet that can help?

I find a damp microfiber cloth handy for a quick quote around.

The place I always notice is the flap on the writing bureau, how is it so noticeably dusty?!

What cloths are you using? I’d wipe over with a barely damp cloth (not polish every time ) and avoid the yellow dusters

Is it on carpet? The dust is coming from somewhere….

Air purifier with hepa filters.
