Looking for good; not gimmicky, solutions.

Please tell me your success stories!

Rack from ikea , about £2

StCharlotte · 08/01/2022 13:01

My pans are in a deep pan drawer with lids on.

But if you google "wall pegs for saucepan lids" loads of ideas come up (except for the peg arrangement I had in mind!).

Vapeyvapevape · 08/01/2022 13:04

Mine aren't organised and there's swearing every time I get a saucepan out or try and put one away because it's like playing blinking Tetris .

RoRoYoYo · 08/01/2022 13:54

Pans on their side in pan drawer with lids on upside down so they fit neatly.

I know but many have rubbish reviews so I gave up there and came here instead... I probably just have too many pots and pans!

Open cupboard.. Launch lids. Ose door.
Cross fingers you aren't the next person to open it!!
Ddog hates the pan cupboard..

Oh and when I first typed that it said launch kids!!
Be a much quieter day imo.

Beecham · 08/01/2022 14:02

I always have correct lid stored on correct pan in a large cupboard. Easy.

I only keep pans I use regularly, so about 6 total.

Life's too short to organise pot lids, they just get thrown in any old how.

longtompot · 08/01/2022 14:14

I have one of these lid organiser

RoRoYoYo · 08/01/2022 20:56

@Crackery Sorry, only just seen your request for a photo. Three pans are currently in the dishwasher so I'll take a picture when it's finished and they're back in the drawer.

DDMAC · 08/01/2022 21:09

I use a plate holder but it only works with the smaller lids

I have three drawers either side of myEverhot.
Left hand is foil, freezer bags, magic liner etc
Pans and lids that can be used on the induction plate.
Old pans that can go on the hotplate.
The right hand side houses cutlery,

Lost some text.
Cutlery
Baking tins
More baking stuff.

Floralnomad · 09/01/2022 01:34

All of the pots / lidded dishes I own keep their lids on , albeit some of them are on upside down for stacking .

Giggorata · 09/01/2022 02:49

I have a large strong mesh metal crate in the larder for the lids and the pans are hung on the wall inside. It works better that anything else I’ve tried.
My posh pans are on a cast iron stand with their lids on.

Ahalam · 15/01/2022 08:37

I decluttered down to what could fit in the drawer (not much) and store with the lids on. Very occasionally, or when I burn something, I feel the need for another pot, but I have managed without for a year now. It’s easier to stop and clean a pot now and then than play Tetris every time I need to get one out imo.
