Hi all.
Has anyone had the above issue?
I recently replaced my 12 year old BOSCH washing machine for an LG after I stupidly forced a duvet in (twice, first mine then my daughters) which was too large and caused a fault. I heard good things about LG having carried out some research and reading a number of reviews (despite a few negatives of a similar nature to mine) so went with it. Anyhoo, the issue is the cycles (tried several programmes) just don't seem to clean the clothes well nor pick up the smell of the detergent/fabric conditioner. After each wash, our clothes either smell faintly of the fabric conditioner/detergent or just smells damp as though i have left the clothes in for days before hanging. In fact my clothes smell much more pleasant before going in. After reporting the issue to LG and being talked through some troubleshooters, they offered to send an engineer out to check for a fault and repair as they were concerned that it might not be producing hot water, but at this early stage of having a washing machine, i really don't want any repairs, and they weren't prepared to come out just to provide a diagnostic so the company i purchased from agreed to just replace for another. I will be changing brand or model as, some of the negative reviews read previously were in relation to this same issue (though the positive reviews far outweighed, hence i purchased). Prior to my LG, I never experienced this issue with cleaning and we didn't have to rely upon fabric conditioner to try and have the clothes smell fresh.
Has anyone experienced this with any brand and do you have any recommendations for a washing machine. Looks like I may go back to BOSCH, though aware that old machines or brands don't always perform as once was.
