Smelly cheese advice please

I've gone mad in a cheese shop (as usual) this christmas, and every time I open the fridge door the kitchen is soaked in a smelly cheese odour. Is there anything I can do, Oh Wise Ones, to mitigate this?

I can eat a lot of cheese. But I have about a ton of the stuff!!

I know exactly what you mean, as my family love Camembert! I wrap it up in three bags and it still smells our fridge out, and that is with a fridge gel that is suppose to remove odours, next sure if there is an answer will see if anyone can come up with a good idea.

Do you have a garage or shed you could put it in for a couple of days? The weather is cold at the moment so it should be fine. Failing that, double Tupperware it!

Agree on double wrapping etc.

The boot of the car is usually cold enough to keep everything cold

I've got two pots of baking soda in there already! I may dash out and find another extra large tupperware pot for it all

Cut some lemons up and put them in the fridge.

ours is in a camping cool box by the back door for that reason.
I love smelly cheese, have a really really nice and smelly danish cave cheese which absolutely honks.

Have you got any instant coffee? If so fill a mug half full with it (just the granules, don’t make the coffee) and stick it in the fridge next to the cheese. Works like a dream! Don’t use the expensive stuff, just the cheapest thing you can find. Works on any kind of fridge odour and is something I read years ago that’s Origen to be very useful.
