Chemical free oven cleaner?

Hi, I wondered if anyone could suggest tools or techniques for cleaning an oven with just water, washing up liquid, or non chemical cleaners please. Due to allergies I'm trying to phase out chemicals. I've used white vinegar, washing powder and washing up liquid successfully elsewhere in the house. All ideas gratefully received!

I have bought an oven cleaning tray from Lakeland so you can take all the parts of the oven out to soak in washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets then scrub them off easily.

Plus I used an oven liner so the inside of the oven is less hard work.

Make a paste using bicarbonate of soda and water. Coat the bit you want to clean and leave on for at least 12 hours. Use a slice to clean off and remove any stubborn bits with white vinegar or lemon juice.

These are all made up of chemicals.

Astonish do an oven cleaning paste that comes with a scrubby sponge, it's not completely chemical free (nothing is!) but it doesn't have a strong smell and it's safe to use without gloves. It also works fantastically well!

Thanks everyone - will definitely try those tips. I take your point MaryandGerry, but they are chemical products that I'm not allergic to! With conventional oven cleaners I get breathing difficulties.
