Biscuit tins with moisture absorber

Is it possible to still buy biscuit tins that have a container of moisture absorbing crystals in the lid?

Do "air tight" biscuit tins keep biscuits fresh and crispy?

I came on to say Brabantia but I just googled and they seem to have stopped doing them. I have one and it works really well. Would suggest trying to get a second hand one on ebay as they work much better than an airtight tin. On the other hand you could use a few of the sachets of crystals that come with lateral flow tests. Be very careful doing that if you have small kids in the house though.

A little sack of silica gel like they used to pack in box with camera or binoculars.

My nanny or my parents had one of those. Pale blue like a wedgewood plate. I was fascinated by the disc on the lid.
Sorry, no help at all, just brought back a memory

I too have been looking for one but my search has been in vain... My DGM had one with silica gel in the lid and it was great. I am guessing that they are a health and safety risk though.

Just found this on Amazon.
It says it has a moisture absorption lid.

@notacooldad that's such a pretty tin. I'm going to have to add it my wish list for the new year.

Bit extravagant, but Fortnam and Mason do loads, with the biscuits in for Christmas. So you get the lovely biscuits and a reusable biscuit or cracker tin for the rest of the year!

Biscuits don’t last long enough to go stale here. Sorry I’m no help Xmas Blush

Wow I remember those tins from when I was a kid, I've not seen one in years. I remember the lid used to make a noise when you shook it.

Thanks for the throwback 😄
