Is there a carpet freshener that actually smells quite nice? I will get carpet cleaned at some point but just as a temporary freshener?

The 1001 carpet freshener spray is really nice

It's a foam so you don't even need to hoover it's up

I use the capsule things that go in the vacuum bag (Band M)

Bicarbonate of soda on the carpet. Leave for half an hour then Hoover up.

Also a vote for the 1001 carpet foam. Just spray it on and it soaks in and makes the room smell amazing!
My favourite is the Thai Orchid one

Bicarbonate of soda will soak up any horrid smell
Leave on for as long as possible and Hoover

Shake n vac is just fragranced bicarbonate of soda.

I don't think you're supposed to use shake and vac with bagless cleaners.

Bicarb soda with few drops of essential oil

Yep - homemade shake 'n vac. Big tub of bicarb, add some drops of lavender oil.
