Anything but Blu tack!

Just started putting up the Christmas cards along a beam we have in the living room. Have to stand on a chair to do it. They've only been up about three hours and I've already picked four up off the floor.

Does anyone know of something, I suppose maybe double sided, that I can put on the back of the card and would be more reliable than Blu tack.

Any tips would be great. TIA

Could you tie a line of string/elastic along the beam (from a nail at each end maybe) and then hang the cards from there?

Command hooks. Swear by the things for pretty much everything

I realise that my post is actually very vague! I would put up two big command hooks and run some string between them. If you want to hang them individually then grab yourself some glue dots.

A piece of cord, pulled tight, secured at both ends. Clip on with mini pegs.

Command hooks. Won't damage your wall when you take them off, but very reliable for holding things up!

ribbon with drawing pins, or with a couple of tacks that are unobtrusive enough to leave up all year.

If your blutack is old it might have lost its stick, but it might just be that your beam is not a good surface for it.
