How to make life easier

I'm feeling hugely overwhelmed with everyday life and looking for tips on streamling the week days, I work 4 days in a very busy senior job I enjoy but it's stressful, OH works 5 days but longer hours.. both doing half at home half in offices currently. Two primary age kids. Already have a cleaner for 3 hrs a week, milkman, food shopping delivery, but there's just constantly so much to do, endlessly baskets of laundry everywhere, school runs, clubs, activities, sports, parties and all the admin that goes with that. Finances, wider family admin, trying to both exercise, and still keep up with friends, it feels like every spare moment when apparently everyone else is sitting in a Bath with a candle I can't seem to find time to relax. I'm imagining I may also be peri menopausal and im not sure this is helping, feel very snappy and unsupported.., husband does a bit but not enough.. we let our childcare go in lockdown so now using school wraparound but I feel guilty getting any more childcare now as youngest child is very sensitive and really likes me picking and dropping him where I can. Neither of us are great cooks and we tend to eat separately from the kids so again I'm doubling up on duties! To everyone I know I'm a super organised together groomed working mum but I feel like I'm hanging on by a thread most days.. Anyway so I'm looking for a whole bunch of tips on making the working week easier!! Thank you x

Well, start by only cooking one main meal - an obvious one there. Even if, because of activities or whatever you might need to get individual portions out of the slow cooker or for someone to heat their portion up later.
Then, whoever is working from home makes the meal that day - much easier to prep stuff whilst you are eating a sandwich than have that end of the working day things of "what shall we cook now?"

Perhaps limit the activities if it is that constant ?

If there are "endlessly baskets of laundry everywhere" then you are probably washing too much / too often.

Outsource some more : laundry & school runs - can you find more part time domestic help?

Limit the activities & parties - eg cut in half
