Are Eufy robot hoovers worth buying or is it something that will just sit on the cupboard and I’ll go back to my shark?

Are eufy robot hoovers worth buying and do they actually do a good job?
Or will I just end up going back to my shark?
Husband reckons it’s just a fad but if they work and save me hoovering every day then I’m all for it!

Following. I know a few people that have and love them. Considering getting one for dh as he is a keen vacuumer Grin concerned he may sabotage it a la Mrs Doyle though!

StarryNightSparkles · 24/11/2021 18:16

I absolutely love mine it's fantastic and picks up a lot. It's bliss sitting having a cup of tea whilst it scoots about.

Dh uses the shark as it's his pride and joy!

I will keep the pp comment in mind and maybe old shark will have a terrible accident 😂

womanity · 24/11/2021 18:17

Love mine. Couldn’t be my only hoover, still occasionally get the big hoover out, but for day to day it’s fab.

Clymene · 24/11/2021 18:18

Well if it's a choice between sitting on your arse watching telly while a thing vacuums for you or doing it yourself, I'd say it was a no brainer. But I don't like vacuuming. If your husband enjoys it, why spoil his fun?

Starcaller · 24/11/2021 18:20

Ours bimbles around every day. I rarely use the proper hoover now, only for spillages and awkward bits the Eufy can't get in.

FreshFreesias · 24/11/2021 18:26

It’s really good and quiet.
So much better than the robohoover that kept going wrong.

whatadayagain · 24/11/2021 18:28

Totally love mine, works better than I thought it would

WhatsitWiggle · 24/11/2021 18:33

Love mine, on my wfh days I set him going when I start work and on office days, I set him off when I get in whilst I'm doing other jobs / cooking dinner. Too many hazards upstairs so it's not my only hoover.

Blastandbollocks · 24/11/2021 18:37

Love it. He's used almost daily and does downstairs on one charge. Does he (for he is a he!) get into the wee corners? Not really, so I big hoover once a week or if it's a major spill. But, for day to day, it's amazing.

Chasingsquirrels · 24/11/2021 18:38

Love mine, will be replaced immediately if/when it breaks.

BlackboardMonitorVimes · 24/11/2021 18:43

I love mine, he has revolutionised cleaning. The only issue is that he gets a bit freaked out by sunlight and will panic and start bleeping. I think mine is maybe part gremlin Grin

Oooh, mine bleeps too. I do wonder if it's the light to dark confusion. I just make him move forward using my controls on my phone and he sets off again.
FlyingFlamingo · 24/11/2021 18:53

I love mine, the cordless hoover only comes out for the stairs and the ‘main’ hoover never sees the light of day now!

He is very needy though - if he gets caught up in a cat toy he gets very upset and when I lift him up to set him free he shouts at me for picking him up, he’s a little toddler like in that way but much more useful Grin

BlackboardMonitorVimes · 24/11/2021 18:53

@Blastandbollocks he claims it's his sensors but it always happens when he is bathed in sunlight.

OP, do make sure you name yours though. They are little personalities bumbling round doing their thing. I heard another Mumsnetter called hers 'the kracken' and programmed Alexa to start him going on the command 'release the kracken'.

Blastandbollocks · 24/11/2021 18:57

@BlackboardMonitorVimes yes, I mistrust his sensors. But, he is forgiven for the ease with which he deals with my hair.

Does anyone else's develop a slight limp/hitch in its roll if it's picked up too much? Mine seems to bump a bit.

Oh, and DH loves it. With the roller and the controller, he draws rude pictures in the carpet! Grin

Yes the limp thing is funny, reminds me of the same move the cat does after I've picked her up.

Thankfully DH has never realised he can do that with the app Grin

spongedog · 24/11/2021 19:04

I love mine. We are an untidy chaotic household, so can only manage 1 room at a time. It is great for cat hair, dust and debris.

It gives me peace in that I can be doing another chore whilst Little Eufy does his thing.

Smorgasborb · 24/11/2021 19:21

Our little Oofie is the best thing ever. He bumps around the house everyday and comes home with a full box! I don't know where he finds it! He goes under the bed and sofas too!

He works much better than I thought. Great power, easy transition from wood to carpet and the chaos theory over 90 minutes of vacuuming means he gets to most areas. You do have to unclench though when he's working. Some days he may not get to a certain area or seem to go over the same places but over the course of the week he's getting everywhere several times.

You still need something for stairs, upholstery etc. not sure how good it would be with pets.

He won't sit in the back of a cupboard. You keep him on his charging base and use the app to schedule his cleans. Mine goes off everyday at 11am for 90 mins except weekends. If you spill something I tell him to come and clean it up!

He is a key member of our family!

I think I’m sold, and Amazon have some fab Black Friday offers.
I’ll definitely name it but I think I need to get to know if first and see what name suits it.

Ours is called Brian.
Abraxan · 24/11/2021 19:43

I don't have a Eufy robot cleaner, but I do have a robot vacuum - an iRobot. Had it 5 or 6 years now and that is still our primary way of cleaning the house. We don't have an alternative big vacuum. We do have a small handheld Dyson for the stairs and tight/small areas, but that's it.

Davros · 24/11/2021 23:43

I bought one very recently, he's called Lewis (Hamilton). Absolutely brilliant!

Peaseblossum22 · 24/11/2021 23:44

I love my Eufy she’ called Euphy ( short for Euphemia) and is amazing
