How much does a rug clean cost?

We recently had hosted a birthday party, and despite best efforts the rug in our sitting room got filthy.

It’s 9ft x 11ft and wool.

I got one quote of £105. I thought this was a lot. For that price I could rent a machine or something?

Doesn't sound too wild tbh. I paid £60 for a 7x5ft rug. You could hire a Rug Doctor? Was your quote from a dry cleaners? Have you contacted any local upholstery specialists?

I had 5 x 8 cleaned for £120 - but it had broken glass in it so it need to be beaten

I took carpet from my caravan to a dry cleaners and they charged £16 per square metre.

Took me a while to wonder why someone was having a rug cleaned at this time of year, then realised this wasn't posted in the horse section!!
