I'm just revving up for the Christmas themed fly titles

Still feel crap (though the toddies made me feel feel better don't think I can justify a mug full of whiskey at 8am [boak]

DD's nativity this afternoon, i'd better stand at the back.

House suprisingly ok, i've been doing little and often which seems to be working

Better get sprogs dressed and out

Back later for more inane babble

Morning Guys.

DD1s pre-school christmas party today. I have kept her off all week so she'll be well enough

DD2 still not great but I am going to try and blitz the downstairs of the house this afternoon.

All missions and daily routines have gone out of the window because of poorly children and I'm not sure the christmas holidays will help but I plan to resume FLYlady properly on Monday.

madhouse you have my sympathy. It must be very hard with your mum being so bitter. Hopefully she will improve soon.

Morning

Thanks for the thread Yadda

TMH very best wishes to you this morning, you are doing so well x x

FGS hope dd1 enjoys her Christmas party

Ruby enjoy shopping!

I have dd at home with a cough/cold today. She's quite well in herself but is coughing like a trooper so I didn't feel she could go into school really.
This means I have to miss work again! Not a good end to the week - I'll have extra to do in work tomorrwo now instead

Dh and I are supposed to be going out for drinks tonight but we're both a bit run down and coldy so don't feel up to it tbh. A friends dc was coming here to be babysat for by my parents so they can come for drinks too but my parents are reluctant to have another child here so I'm left feeling guilty not sure what to do for the best...

I need to blitz the house a bit today if I can. Dd will be happy snuggled up watching a dvd for a while so hopefully I'll make some progress. We plan to get our tree on Sunday so I need to clear a space in the living room ready

BiancaCastafiore · 14/12/2007 09:43

Step-mother has offered to watch dd while I go into work for a couple of hours. Not sure if I'm or about it really, dd and I were snuggled up watching The Santa Clause
Still, it'll make my day easier tomorrow if I get a certain amount of work done today...

See you all later

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 14/12/2007 10:01

Morning.
Not much planned her for today ather than i should be clearing up as usual!
I have £20 left until Tuesday and need to put £10 each on gas and electric before we run out.Not much food left either. i hate the money struggle this time of year.

Hope everyone else is ok and has a good day.

Bianca Hope DD is feeling better tomorow.

JingleyJen · 14/12/2007 10:10

Have got to do the mission this morning but the house is pretty ok this morning.

Got a friend coming for lunch today then out for my birthday party tonight

Having a very wierd experience - have on mn got to know a lady that lives less than 100 meters from my house!!!

off to make some veggie soup for lunch.

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 14/12/2007 11:01

Morning All

madhouse I'm sorry to hear your mum is still having a hard time, and that you are getting the brunt of it...good on you for perservering.

Jen Happy Birthday!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great party tonight!
Its a small world isn't it! I live fairly close to simply and also not too far from bianca's brother!

Bianca Hope your DD is feeling better soon xx

FGS Have a fun party! Hope your DD's perk up soon too xx

LOL Ruby I love the thought of going out on the "razz" I used to go out on the razz a lot as a student....now it is more like, out on the "get very drunk on a few glasses of wine, and complain about sore feet!"
Enjoy your night.

Yadda...nope probably not wise to start the day off with a glass of whisky! Hope you are feeling better by the time you go to DD's nativity.

I have been very good this morning...Halo
I made myself do all the chores before I turned the computer on...
~D/W unloaded/reloaded
~2 loads of washing done
~Downstairs all hoovered
~living room dusted and tidied
~Kitchen cleaned and tidied
~Clothes all picked up from various rooms

My neighbours little girl is 7 today, and has a party after school, so my neighbour is very busy preparing for that, so in a vague effort to help, I have cooked some sausage rolls for her, and taken her 2 year old off her hands for the morning. She is a little sweety! She is a month younger than my DD2 and they are playing with their "Babans" (babies...except neighbours DD is mostly welsh speaking so babies in welsh is Babans) It is hilarious, as I can only just understand 2 year olds at the best of times, let alone a welsh one!....I just nod a lot, and say "oooh" and "Di awn" (which means well done!) LOL

Well I had better get on...it has taken me half an hour to write this post! and I have to go and get DS in a short while.

xx

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 14/12/2007 12:49

I have wasted my whole morning on here.
And i am feeling really down about lack of money and having no where to sit as a family to eat christmas dinner. have put a message on freecycle but i don't hold out much hope!

And i just nearly choked on a chunk of banana! mnaged to swallow it down!

TheMincePiedMadHouse · 14/12/2007 13:21

Afternoon all

I am feeling a bit more up this afternoon, have been round my friends who broke her back this morning. She got the OK from the professor yerterday all is healing well, so even took the boys to see her and we stayed for lunch.

Mum has rung and she wants me to pick her up from the hospital this afternoon, so as soon as DS2 wakes from his nap we will go and do that.

Happy Birthday Jen Tort wish I could help re table, but no such luck. Is there any furniture charities about near you???

bianca A drink will do you good.

uda dont think I have ever been on the razz

Waves to everyones else.

Thanks for keeping my chin up re mother - I just have to accept that this is what she is like and toughen up (guess why we lived a the other end of the country for 10 years)

lol at Tart and Ruby

Dh and I have decided we will go out for drinks tonight, even if we don't stay late. Friends dc is coming to stay while we go out so dd is looking forward to that very much (it's a close as we've dared to get to a sleepover yet)

Well, Dd is desperate to use the computer so I'm being sighed at already, I'll be back soon (hopefully!)

TTFN x

BiancaCastafiore · 14/12/2007 16:13

What do I wear to a drinks eve?
And, is it OK to take some chocs as a gift or should it be a bottle of some sort? (have Waitrose yummy chocs...)

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 14/12/2007 16:19

Ohh Bianca have a nice evening. I have no idea what you wear! I don't go out!
And chocs or wine is fine i guess but again i don't really have a clue!

Like the idea of being a recycled virgin.!!!
