Scratches on ceramic hob

Just had a new kitchen installed, all shiny and beautiful - been away for the weekend for a family emergency and come home to a scratched ceramic hob. My son and his girlfriend have been cooking, and it looks like they've moved one of my old pans around on the hob (stir frying). I'd used the hob a few times (cooking veg) and it had been fine.

Is there any way to save it? I've tried jif and it's made no difference whatsoever (except the bits of stir fry sauce have been removed....)

I think you just have to live with it.

The pink stuff paste works on my ceramic hob. I spill stuff all the time and it leaves marks which almost seem like its underneath the ceramic. Use it with one of those yellow sponges with the green scrubby bit. It won't scratch

Miraculously, after cleaning it a few times with Jif and remembering I had a scraper, the scratches are all gone. I think I would have tried the pink stuff next.
