tipping my cleaner at christmas

how much to be nice without being over the top? is there some formula/etiquette that i should know but don't?

(sorry to put this in good housekeeping because clearly i don't keep my house, my cleaner does, but i couldn't think where else)

I used to give chocs, flowers and a weeks wages (£50) in M&S vouchers. I loved my cleaner.....
Used to do the same for her birthday, plus chocs and flowers at Easter and other times.

See I have a group of 3 women who come once a fortnight for £35. What should I give them?????

I give mine a week's money and a box of chocs

I'm going to give mine £20 and some wine.

thank you. think i've pitched it about right (a bit more than a week's money, but without chocs/flowers because she is going home for the holidays the next day)

I used to give a tenner and a gift worth another tenner,a nice candle or something for her home.

Not so generous as others here.
