Ikea mattress toppers

We're thinking about getting an Ikea mattress topper as my husband has a bad back and the mattress isn't helping!

But they don't have any straps, so just balance on top of the mattress? This seems like a recipe for disaster - how does it work in real life? Also, does it affect how sheets fit on? Would we need to get the next size up (i.e. from king to super king) to ensure the sheet fits over both topper and mattress?

Is your bed from Ikea too? Ikea do continental bed sizes which is a right royal pain as standard bedding and toppers don't fit them. So unless your bed is from Ikea, there's no point purchasing one of their toppers

For normal toppers just get one with straps and then get deep fill sheets from John Lewis to go over the top of everything

Yeah we have an Ikea bed and mattress already.

By the sounds of it the sheet secures it.. if using a fitted sheet. I'm quite curious about that now

Oh and I'm sure you wouldn't need to go a size up
