Cat litter to help wardrobe mustiness

I'm trying to find something to help get rid of damp old house smells, especially before we get new heating and building work done.

Is cat litter with charcoal in a thing and if so which brand is best and how best to use it not for cats?

I'm finding that laundry picks up the mustiness

I don't know if theres a litter with charcole but some litter boxes have a filter . There might be issues with any additives in the litter itself in case they lick it off their paws .
The litter itself (even before they use it) Grin has an odour .

Why not one of those moisture drawing crystals in a box type things . Ill see if I can find one on Lakeland

And an electric dehumidify in the room - amazing the amount of water they draw in !
