I dared myself to put my dd's navy trousers and jumper in with the whites. Everything is STlLL the colour it should be.

I always mix colours...

well i do at work anyway (not at home cause i use diff detergents for whites and coloureds, optical brightners aka bleach to make my whites white and colour liquid for colours so i dotn bleach them)

at work i use fairy non bio liq on everything so dont seperate colours / whites

i put everything in (and if the bed stuff is in which it is once a week and includes white sheets i do it at all 60) and have never ever had any colours run.

Once in an old job a brand new very very dark green towel ran.... but it was in a wash (on 40) with lots of coloured stuff and most of the coloured stuff came out a browny yukky colour

I think it has a lot to do with the quality of the clothes to be honest...

the children at work have have mainly pumpkin patch / M&S with a bit of gap and next thrown in, either fleece or 100% cotton and some pretty dark colours but nothing ever runs.
