I don't think they do normally do a video. Might be someone i can get a copy off if i ask.

ludaloolovesmincepies · 10/12/2007 14:40

Madhouse I bet your mum is just being this difficult as she is finding it hard to cope with everything. I'm sorry you are all having to go through it though
Keep your chin up though, she will still need you...it must be hard though

ruby Chuck that crap girl!!!

ludaloolovesmincepies · 10/12/2007 14:51

Awwww madhouse....you have just had me blinking back a tear reading your thankyou on the christmas appeal thread.
All I can say is I...the same goes...and a big thankyou to you too!

Awwww MN is a big soppy fantastic place to be...sigh...

ImdreamingofaGROUCHYxmas · 10/12/2007 15:45

Well I made a huge batch of my crunch bars (cooking in the fridge as we type)

And guess who cleared up the train tracks.....

Yep that will be me ...I suppose it's given me chance to reorganise the stuff in there.

0Ed did find his missing breakdown train tho. It had been put in the wrong container. The big basket is organised into 15 smaller containers...Curves, straights, bridges, station etc.

I am NOT disbanding the Furry Party.

My legs really hurt now {sulk emoticon]

TMH Sorry for your hassles. Families are strange really.

JingleyJen · 10/12/2007 16:34

got the info about the christmas play - DS1 is at the front on the left hand side doors open at 1.20pm performance at 2pm apparently best to try to be in the first 3 rows if you are wanting to use the video camera. There are quite a few parents who don't have a camera so I have said I will try to not just focus on DS1 then will copy the cd for them.

(Sorry not fly based posting)

Anyway off to make macaroni cheese..

TMH sorry your mum is being difficult. hang in there maybe things will change once she has finished her treatment?

tort is there someone else who is videoing it that you could get them to copy theirs for you?

Just home after a very busy day. Finding everything a bit like hard work at the moment to be honest - tired and tearful and can't see a way through everything

TMH I'm so sorry you're having a hard time with your mum. It's mostly likely to be as everyone else has already suggested - a reation to everything, the news about the gene, the worry of the surgery etc. chin up if you can - lots of good thoughts and vibes coming your way from me x x

Ruby I'm the same with "stuff" I just can't get motivated or passed the sentimental part of myself to throw it out. I have made a start over the past week to begin a cull in the hope of seeing some progress. The areas I've done are looking miles better so it is worth it in the end. Good luck!

Tort good luck with sorting the video. We've never had one I always just rely on photos (and even then only have an old camera which uses film - soooo out of date!) We need to save the pennies and move into the digital age I think....

Well done on the costume Luda

Yadda, Grouchy, Jen Hello

Evening all

I'm so busy at the moment, and the children seem to be up late all the time that I had to set the alarm clock this morning and wake them all up
I did get my morning routine done though

I need to make mince pies to go in the freezer this evening.

TMH - sorry your mum is finding things so hard. Anger is a normal part of the grieving process, and although it won't make it any better for you, it is sometimes useful to remember it as a stage she needs o go through
I hope youfind the strength to get through this time.
(I also hope she didn't tell your cousins she was glad only one had the gene)

Tort - no video here either, but I'm not sentimental about keeping things like Christmas shows any way. Getting a copy from another parent sounds like a good plan if you can though.
I hope the wii delivery comes tomorrow.

Jen - lol a @sorry not FLY based posting....you get my entire life on here, with very little FLYing at times!

Ruby - I hope you managed to get rid of some stuff. I find it hard, but dp throws stuff away when I'm out if I don't keep on top of it now. I have to admit I do feel better without so much clutter.

Jas · 10/12/2007 17:10

I missed your tired and tearful post Bianca Are you working too hard? You seem very busy of late. Ihope you get a chance to rest soon.

Also Hello to Simply Nice to see you last night.

Simply · 10/12/2007 17:27

Hello to all. Dh is away for most of this week so I'll keep this short. Just having 10mins to myself before starting to prepare tea. Half that time has been used reading the thread. I can't reply to everyone individually so just a couple of things.....

BC You do sound busy. Look after yourself. I sent you an e-mail recently, too, did you get it?

luda We haven't had a meet up for ages, have we? We'll have to try to plan something in January.

Ruby I hold onto things of sentimental value that used to belong to my parents. I think the key is to displaying what you can (maybe 2 months on display and then stored again so everything gets looked at regularly, bringing back fond memories) and storing appropriately (acid free paper or whatever) the things you want to keep.

Jas I smiled as well at Jen's post. This post is typical of me - no mention of FLYing or any achievements in the Simply household!

Right. I must get on with tea now. See you again.

JingleyJen · 10/12/2007 17:56

So anyone want 2 children - I will deliver them - no charge!! I just made tea for them and they both refused to eat any of it DS1 said it was "gusting" even though he thinks it is great normally! (pasta with tomato bacon sweetcorn mushroom and courgette sauce) Not a single mouthful has gone in. not very just more irritated.

yaddayule · 11/12/2007 07:32

Jen can I pass on the children amd eat the dinner ??
Sorry everyone seems to have had bad days .. lots of and

Perhaps today will be a better day !

Yadd x

yaddayule · 11/12/2007 07:35
