We've just reshuffled the furniture in our single big reception room and the dining table has ended up in the bay window, which is great for floor space but means it's really poorly lit.
There's no possibility of putting a ceiling light above it, which would be the obvious solution, so is it a really stupid idea to have a floorstanding reading light of this ilk on the window side of the table (maybe even on the windowsill) to light the table?
