Morning Luda

I'm off to work again as soon as I've dropped the kids at school.
Grouchy I'm glad you're enjoying work so much Although I moan about work I do enjoy hte job and am really enjoying doing something different with my day (it's just some of the other staff I have issues with lol) My job doesn't pay enough to make childcare worthwhile so I have to time it around school days at the moment. I'm going to owe many favours to friends who are willing to have ds for a couple of hours in the afternoons.
Neverenough will you do your Christmas shopping in NYC?

I did the mission yesterday
Need to get a load of washing in today and I usually change the beds on a Thurs but I think they can wait till tomorrow.

Just while I remember...

Bianca how irritating are your neighbours!? Were they ok when they dropped DD back off? (And I got your message on Facebook...just didn't get a chance to reply but I'm glad they got there ok )

Neverenough have a fab time in New York (Lucky Devil!)

Everyone I know has bought a Wii! My neighbour 2 doors down, my neighbour over the road, 2 of my SIL's...loads!

Anyway...yesterday was as hectic as ever..
Brief lowdown..
~I babysat while neighbour went to look at a single bed for her DS
~They came back with it
~My DH helped her take her DS's old Bunk Bed down...and he came home with them!!
~Mad scramble, as he decided to put them up in our big bedroom (where Ds and DD2 usually sleep)
~Our neighbour on the other side came round to help!
~Dismantled DD2's other bed, and put bunk beds up!
~All three kids Happy! DD1 on top bunk, DS on bottom, DD2 in DS's incredibly comfy old bed in the same room! So all were happy.

~DD2 cried...I got in to bed with her...she PUKED! ... Everywhere! and continued to over various intervals during the night

Very eventful to say the least, so today, I have to strip her bed, swop that bed for the bed in the now spare room, (it matches the bunk beds you see)
Wash lots of sicky sheets and towels and pyjama's!

No toddler group today as I don't want to spread the germs! Its my turn for milk and biscuits too so shall have to ask a friend to pop by and take them for me on her way.

Anyhoo...better go make a start and get DD1 ready for school.

Hello to all. Sorry I've not been on much for ages. I have a potential au pair coming to stay this w/e so I need to finish getting the room ready.

luda I've heard that a bug is going around here, too. Sorry to hear that your lo is unwell. I hope the rest of you escape getting it.

Luda hope DD2 is better soon.DD1 said her tummy hurt last night and again as i left her at school. Fingers crossed its nothing!

Kept DD2 off pre-school partly because of her cough/cold but also because its pouring with rain and we got soaked just walking to school this morn!

I have loads to get done before SW comes tomorrow and tonight its Victorian Evening in town and santa is coming. Hope the rain eases off or we will be getting wet yet again!

Got loads of treasury work to do today AGM is on Monday and I have to have the end of year accounts done by then. Bit difficult since am still waiting for some people's expense claims (chairman in particular ). Don't want to be sitting doing this all weekend.

So not a whole amount of FLYing expected today. Will do what I can.

DD2 seems ok, she has kept her brekkie down, but is running a temp. I have given her some Neurofen, and she is dozing on the sofa.

Hi to simply I was wondering where you had got too. You have an au pair comming...great! I really hope it all works out for you.

Well I have changed the bed covers...Dh swopped the two single beds over, so the bunk beds and the single bed in one room all match now!
We officially have a spare room now!!!
I have made the bed up in there too.

I now have to tidy all the mess back up and hoover and straighten it all back up!!

WHY CAN'T I TIDY MY HOUSE!
Can't get into it again today. Pick a few bits up here and there but not all the stuff that needs doing!

thanks tort .... you need to grab a bin bag...set a timer, and be ruthless. If you really don't use it, you don't love it, or it really isn't beautiful then bin it.
Start in one room and don't move out of that room until you are sure you have finished. (I find it easier to start in the smallest room...I always start in the hall or the bathroom, or the downstairs loo...you can then work your way up to the bigger rooms.)
A good thing to do is get a basket (I use a washing basket)put everything that doesn't belong in the room and that needs to be rehomed in the basket...then get a bin bag, and put everything else in there.
Try it in say the bathroom for starters...I like to do the lounge too as it is the most used room.

(I'm sure you know all this already, but just hearing it again might spur you on??)

Stick some music on and then you can take your mind off it too.

Tesco man arrived with my order. Wow, this is great! Only one thing he couldn't get and we rejected the alternative (even though was a reasonable alternative but a bit too pricey) so am very pleased.

Aw luda and tort. I don't know why I never considered this before. Am such a mug! Going to tell my mum about it too so she can give me her list and I'll order it for her.

Ahhh well done tort! I have hoovered upstairs now and put all the rooms back in order. The kids are doing a grand job of messing them back up though!

I'm going to do downstairs now.

DD1 has youth club later so need to do an early supper.
