My Jack russell Parsons is feisty, They are notoriously untrainable. I leave the back door open at night as I live in a rural setting but he keeps peeing in a corner, now my hallway smells of urine and ammonia.
We're moving house in less than 2 years so need a temporary yet good flooring that wont absorb dog pee. I don't really want to spend that much money on porcelain tiles etc
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If he keeps peeing in the same spot I would just out down a cheap carpet for now and then cut another piece out and place it in the corner where he tends to pee or a outdoor mat as this soaks up water too. If your planning on moving I wouldn't spend too much on flooring but at least if you use a mat or just cut out a square for the place he pees it will protect underneath carpet. Or even a puppy pad might work too

I think you should get dog checked by the vet and go back to basics with the house training so take him out every thirty minutes, give a prompt word and reward if he performs. If he doesn't go take him back in watch him like a hawk and repeat after ten minutes. The answer is to persist with house training and make sure you clean thoroughly any accidents with biological washing liquid or he will continue to pee over places he's peed previously.

How old is he? It’s not normal for a dog to pee overnight, and it’s habit not something that can’t be resolved. What have you tried so far?

Lino? Waterproof? Wipe it up.. put rugs down etc
