Woodlice - How Do I Get Rid

I was cleaning the kitchen and there was a dead woodlice on the kitchen counter.

I pulled the oven out to clean behind it and I thought there was rat poo. On closer inspection it was a "cluster" of dead woodlice. Yuck!

Any suggestions to get rid of them apart from moving? I think my property has damp in it. Thanks

We were in a rented place once which was infested. They don’t do any harm though. Apparently you need to get rid of all damp and all access to outside. Basically impossible. We just taught the kids to pick them up and post them out of the letterbox. And got a mini dyson to hoover the dead ones. Kids are very good with all creepy crawlies now but other than that added bonus i can’t say I was sad to move out!!

Oooo I also learned they are related to prawns.

I have the plug ins and they’re good

This is probably a stupid question but does anybody know if you are likely to get them in a second floor flat?

@Hotelhelp I was told by a pest controller that plug ins don't work. Which ones do you use please?

They’re harmless. Sweep up the ones you find and put them outside.

yep. I used to come down every morning to half a dozen dead bodies. It was like a woodlouse morgue.
