How To Get Red Pen Out Of Grey Hoodie?

Hey guys,
My son went to playgroup with a brand new hoodie on, I figured they would have taken it off before starting anything messy since they know I put old t-shirts on him, but nope... So now his only-worn-once hoodie has red felt tip pen marks all over it.

I've tried:

1. Washing up liquid
2. Hairspray (from Google. Did sweet FA)
3. In the washing machine
4. Stain remover

It's faded, but if you look for more than a second, you can see them.

Any tips would be great, thank you!

You may have set the stain now with the things you've tried, but I've had luck using alcohol (hand gel) snd lots of blotting to remove black ball point pen from a pale pink hoody.
