If you have a carpet cleaner, do you dismantle it between uses….

Or do you just keep it like a vacuum cleaner in a cupboard ready for emergency spillages etc ?

We bought a Bissell the other week and have used it on 2 carpets which have never been cleaned, only vacuumed. (God, the colour of the water….EnvyBlush)

I think they’ll need a second going over in a couple of weeks. DH is keen to recycle the box it came in but I’m not sure if it’s best dismantled and put back in the box or just kept together?

It’s not like it will be used every week….

My mum has one and keeps it in the cupboard with her Dyson ready to go!

I keep it put together, but empty of any water/solution - it’s actually quite quick to fill up the tank and go though.

Keep it in the cupboard after it's been cleaned.

I’m starting to think maybe I should use it every week! We have 3 cats 2 dogs tho. And I never actually would manage to use it every week. But I think doing it regularly would be an excellent plan rather than just waiting till the carpets are proper minging and marvelling at the dirt coming out of them!

Maybe do it less than once a week but on a more manageable regular timescale - once a month?

Our carpets were 18 years old. First time of being cleaned and not just hoovered. Look at the photo Blush
