Towel stains? Please help.

I am totally miffed! I have noticed brown stains on my towels. They don't appear to be from door staining or rust. I send them to a laundrette and wondered whether it was happening there. Anyone else had something similar? It's not make up. It's costing me a fortune. Thank you in advance. 

What colour are the towels?

Oh I have these stains and I know exactly where they are from. It's hard to get fake tan off a white towel XXXX (daughter's name)

Hi thank you. They are brown stains on white mainly but also coloured towels. Sure make up would come out. Looks more like burn marks or rust but cannot see where from..

Sounds like bleach to me

Anyone in the family use acnecide or any product containing benzoyl peroxide? That's what's caused it on our towels

Thank you. I will try bleach on the towel to replicate it. It's a totally mystery.

Are you noticing before you send them to the laundrette have you asked them ?
