Where to buy pillows and quilts that arent made of j cloth type material?

Recently when buying quilts or pillows I open the packs once home to find out they arent covered in cotton or woven polyester ( like a proper fabric) but are made out of a thin plastic j cloth type non woven cheap covering.

Can anyone help me find proper washable ones that have a fabric clothes quality type woven outer cover?

Some of them.do say washable but it's still this horrible cover that just bubbles up and looses shape.

The last decent one I bought was Debenhams but it's so hard now as it's mostly looking online
Thanks

I buy ours from Asda, they have mid range which have a lovely soft fabric to the duvets rather than that horrid itchy stuff

Ikea

Try to search on the online stores and filter results to say fabric content ‘ Cotton’ for instance on Dunelm etc
Those ‘j cloth’ (good way to describe them 😂) are horrible and plastic basically and make you sweaty
I have even see duvets covered in that !!

Second IKEA. I have the most loveliest pillows from there.

Thanks for this. That's where I got the last lot from only to discover it wasnt cotton when i got home. I didnt get the cheapest one either. I think Debenhams used to have little sample ones out on display but maybe I'm dreaming that.

I'm going have a look online and read the reviews then try to match up the review with what's in store. I just keep on getting the nasty ones somehow

Dunelm has a huge range and all with samples out so you can have a good feel!

Winter duvets were on sale when I went in a few weeks ago, got a bargain

I have an Early's of Witney winter duvet. The cover is a soft smooth cotton mix, I think. But definitely good quality & "proper" material. I bought it brand new 2 years ago from an eBay store. Super king size & around £45 .

We get ours from John Lewis and they have a cotton casing.

Changethatname81 · 08/09/2021 20:09

Yep at ikea you can feel all the samples of their pillows, duvets and sheets before buying.
