I need some advice on mould! I think our second hand leather sofa is going mouldy, and it's possibly spread (is that poss?) to our carpet.
We have two sofas in the room, both second hand leather. However for a long time I've been smelling musty/mouldy smell at the end I sit on the main one. I suspect the place we got it from might have tried to clean it and not dried it properly as it came looking very shiny and I seem to remember thinking it felt a little damp. I've had the sofa out before and cleaned off what I thought was some mould with a special spay but the smell is back, worse than ever and seems to now be further around the room than before.
So do we just get rid and buy a new sofa? I'm happy to do that but worried if it's spread it'll be in the carpet and we'll just have the same problem again? If it is in the carpet what should we do to clean it?
The room itself has two outside facing walls, and is attached to next door on one side (semi detached) and the survey we had didn't mention any damp issues...it is however the coldest room in the house (suspect due to the fact it only has one smallish radiator at one end of the room)
Any help/advice appreciated!
