Just realised it has taken 1 1/4 hours to:
Empty and clean the fridge, including the drip tray at the back.
Put on 2 wash loads and drier loads.
Sweep and mop the kitchen floor and then hoover it after DS2 smashed my glass bowl all over it.
Clean up said glass.
Hoover hallway.
Empty and load dishwasher.
Make a list of food in fridge and use by dates.

Actually, that is quite a bit, isn't it?!

TheMincePiedMadHouse · 03/12/2007 15:15

Hi All

Ni Flying for me yet. I am increadibly sad .

My mum has the gene, so is having her op tp remove her ovaries next week adn then is going to discuss breast removal and reconstruction with an oncologist and platics.

I will get an appointment for my bllod test early January hopefully. If positive, I can have brest screening by MRI (mamograms not good for under 40's as breast tissue is too dense) and will need to discuss ovaries further

FrostyGlassSlipper · 03/12/2007 15:18

Shit. Madhouse. This must be very hard to take in for you all.

Thinking of you xx

TheMincePiedMadHouse · 03/12/2007 15:20

as mum was 64 and my aunty was 54 when diagnosed and the other 54 when died, I guess we just all thought she was going to be OK. I even joked that all that bacardi had scared the cancer cells off

JingleyJen · 03/12/2007 15:21

TMH God How horrid for you all. Is it possible that you won't have it? If so positive vibes to you!! ( or negative if that is what you are after!)

Oh Madhouse how awful for you

Every strength {{hug}}

TheMincePiedMadHouse · 03/12/2007 16:44

Hi Ruby, she does not have a cancer diagnosis, but a gene spelling mistake - so it is kind of like heading it off at the pass.

She is so upset that she could have given me and my bro faulty genes as she calls them and also that her grandchildren might be effected

Ruby I do understand what you are saying and I am not worried about mum IFYKWIM. She is 64 and has seen her children grow up, been to nativitys etc. It is just the fear of the unknown and also I am not sure about what I will do if I to have the fault.

No one including her thought that she would be positive as she is much older than her sister who died and also than the other when she was diagnosed. So it is just a shock really.

Not sure about removing my ovaries, boobs well thats another thing (36 GG) so aslong as they reduce and lift then possibly - lol

Evening.
Nearly all decs are up!
Have had a bad day for hurting myself though!
1st- cut hand on a sharp bit on th snowman light.
2nd- While cycling home, bramble in the hedge scratched all down the back of my hand.I couldn't avoid it!
3rd- Tonight while shutting wires in the window i slammed it on my thumb. The pain was awful! Now i have a purple patch on my nail and can't bend the thumb. Its till quite painful.

Also tonight we ran out of electric so i had to phone a neighbour to get me some as it was nearly 8pm and DD's were late going to bed!

THM Sorry to hear your news. must be a worry for you.

Forgotten the rest now!
Have a look on my profile for the photo i took today to use on family xmas card! DC are all dressed up.
