DS just had a nap on the sofa. Woke up saying he was cold. Then the penny drop. Sofa practically drowning in pee. It has removable cover so I can put that in the washing machine. But the foam is saturated. What should I do??

Put it in the machine,

For the foam. Squeeze it out. Flush with cold water and biological laundry detergent mix. Squeeze again and leave outside to dry. Might take a few days. When dry sprinkle liberally with bicarbonate of soda. Leave for a while and then hoover.

A spray of 50/50 white vinegar and water might neutralise the urine. That’s what I’ve used before.

@FleasInMyKnees it def wouldn't fit. It's very hard foam.

Thanks @NorthernDramaLlama will put it out in the garden now and use the hose. At least it doesn't give rain this week so plenty of time for it to dry out

I used to put puppy pads inside the sofa covers on top of the cushions to protect them if my cat did this.

Get some pet spray. It works well and smells Lovely
