Nightmare flooring problem

First I know there's nothing I can do but does anyone have any advise?

Bloke is currently here laying vinyl flooring. First he upped the price once here, said he needed money for adhesive which I assumed was part of the price. Second the floor is the wrong vinyl. Nothing to do with him I got it from a carpet shop. What should I do? He's already cut it, asked me to take a look and it's blue and orange and not black and white as I ordered. i was in hospital so didn't have an opportunity to check the vinyl, the flooring bloke had a cancelled job so said he'd come this avo.

Now that it's been fitted I very much doubt they'll accept it back as it'll have the adhesive on and will probably rip being pulled up.
You should have told him you didn't want it fitted, he wouldn't of charged the fitting amount.

He had already cut it to size when I saw it was the wrong vinyl. He was going to charge me £80 so I told him to go ahead and fit it. I didn't know what else to do and thought that since it was cut, the carpet place wouldn't take it back so I said to go ahead - either way it's a waste of money.

They made a mistake sending the wrong colourway. You have accepted that by getting him to continue fitting it, as such I think YWBVVVU to ask for the store to rectify the original mistake.

That’s a strange rationale for having the wrong flooring laid. I think once you knew it was the wrong colour way it might have been better to cancel the fitting.
