I've got a loop pile carpet, and one that I think is berber? pile. I was planning to buy a carpet cleaning machine which uses water and has brushes underneath rotating. Will it clean them much? They are pretty grubby and have a doggy whiff about them. The machines talk about lifting pile to clean them but loop pile can't be lifted.
