Is there such a thing as a comfy sofa bed?? If so WHICH ONE please!

Really hoping for some MN wisdom!

We spent almost £2000 on an expensive top of the range one from Willow and Hall that we were assured would be "as comfy as a bed".

Well, it's not. It sags badly in the middle, you can feel every bar - it's as uncomfortable as any sofa bed I've ever slept on! I think it's sort of ok for a single night, but we've got friends wanting to stay for a week and I think that'd be torture.

SO I'm going to bite the bullet and replace it - but with what? We've got the space to fit an l-shape or whatever - no constraints really, except that I don't want to be suckered in again and spend a ton of cash on something that turns out to be rubbish. (Willow and Hall - grrrrrr....)

I'm really sick TBH about spending all that money on something so rubbish and DESPERATE to avoid a repeat! Grateful for any advice :)

PIL got us our 10 years ago as a wedding present so I'm not 100% sure on the model but they just tried loads in the shop!!

Following! I think the best ones are likely to be those with a 14cm mattress (rather than 10/11cm) and ideally pocket sprung. There’s not many about though.

Ours is from Funky Futon. It’s a sofa rather than a futon. The whole sofa pulls down into a bed and you can get a higher quality mattress. We sleep in the living room due to space issues and while it’s not ideal…it’s comfortable and we sleep fine on it.
