House Slug - nasty

Hi there, I joined on here for some advice, the original thread is many years old,

A slug has been leaving slimy trails on the living room rug - nothing on the surrounding floor - it seems like it's flying in!

Can anyone PLEASE recommend something that will make them disappear - permanently

We had slugs in the house when we had a leak on the water supply pipe under the house. They were finding their way in through a crack in the floorboards. Once the leak was repaired we deprived them of their damp environment and we never saw another one.

Sprinkle some salt on the rug. A nasty cleanup in the morning, but hopefully the last.
