What household task /diy started off small and became A Project?
Emptied the kitchen yesterday in preparation for painting it today. Small room, usual done in 2 hours.
Decided to sand a small patch where a Xmas decoration had left a bleb in the paint.... A huge patch of paint came off!! Have had to peel /sand half the walls to get it decent!! Now going to have to wallpaper that wall!! Have a bit left from a feature wall but prob have to patch it!! Urgh. Wish I hadn't started!!
Cheer me up with your decorating dramas!!

Decorating the landing and stairs, after stripping the layers of wallpaper, started sanding the bannister. Discovered serval layers of paint possibly going back to the 50's brown. After 4 days gave up and smashed the bannisters out! Now need to have new bannisters put in before I can carry on with sanding other woodwork and repainting the stairs, landing and upstairs hallway before moving on to the bottom hall to 'complete' the space

Oh I hate wallpapering with a passion! Probably because it's just something I can't get the hang on so tend to go with painted walls! Plus if I change my mind it's easy to change Grin
