Carpet Disaster! Need advice!

I have never had lilies before so please be kind to me on what I’m about to say…

This morning I brushed past the vase with the lilies and noticed the dust had fell onto my cream carpet. I swept across the dust with my hand, carpet turned yellow, panicked and used Vanish to get rid of it. Not realising until after Googling “how to get rid of pollen stains” I saw don’t rub the stain in

Has this happened to anyone else and did you ever manage to get the stain out without replacing the carpet?

Have you got accidental damage on your home insurance? They will come and clean it for you or replace the carpet if they can’t get the stain out.

When I had my new carpet, on the samples it said it can be cleaned with bleach. I've never tried it but my friend has same carpet and she used bleach and it was fine

Not sure, DH looks after all the house admin. Thanks for the link I have tried them all apart from the alcohol.
