Mission 27 Fling Boogie in the living room

Good morning!

I've done a deal with work that I'll work extra tomorrow (when ds is going to a party after school) instead of having to go in today. Ds is going to a friends for lunch today so I am child-free till 3pm. This means I have no excuse to avoid the housework and so I must make good progress today.

I think I'll sit and write a list to get myself motivated.

Well I have toddler group this morning, then I'm going food shopping.

I need to get a fire lit first though its gone really cold!!! If I do one now the house will be warm for when we get back later.

at having the house to yourself until 3pm! I really need a child free day, we have boxes from deliveries for xmas and I can't do anything with them as the kids are always here! We have had to tell them that the boxes are all "Daddy'd Gearbox Stuff!" (and they completely believe us too which is lucky! I don't suspect we will get away with that for many more xmas's though )

lol Luda I think I may even have to switch the computer off or I'll never get anything done!

Don't think I can do that though, I like have a few minutes break now and then to come and look on here or play another scrabble move on facebook

I'm going to do a room at a time, with 5 minute breaks between them and hope it works out

At the moment most of the kids christmas pressies are in suitcases in the spare room (which I'm now pleased we didn't put away in the loft sooner - they've been there since we went on hols in June!) It's fine, and kids haven't suspected a thing except that if you accidently knock against one of them it sets off some music on a disco Polly pocket which might make dd !

Agh! HAve wasted the last 30minutes on the phone sorting out staff for work for tomorrow because they all seem incapable of organising themselves ! What a waste of my time!

Dragged myself out of bed to sort out Ed Got him and me washed and dressed and madce porridge and took him to school. Attended the PTA meeting, went to the next town to the market, bought lots of meats, home, vac up, empty wm, hang to dry, dirty laundry downstairs, make sandwich, MN time (Phew)

To Do

Reading friends session, it's the last one for the term then collect Ed and home again

I got a rack of beef bones at the market. Anyone got a good beef stock recipe

Gotta dash (with my walking stick heh heh)

Mil due over at 2.30pm to babysit dd (am decorating the school christmas tree ..heh heh)

Need to STOP looking at Kath kidston online and dreaming about wafting around farmhouse retro kitchen with scrubbed angelic children and go and clear up !

Bianca - I find 'deleting' things off lists much more therapeutic as then the list gets shorter and shorter and doesnt look so scary. Also remove spaces and then it half the size You are doing GREAT by the way

Afternoon all

Everyone else seems to be doing doing really well.
Had toddlers this morning so have only done morning routine.
Bathroom got cleaned last night, had brain break down and gave dd a petit filous for teaat least it was only the bathroom she was sick all over.
DS had his jabs yesterday and i think he also has an upset stomach not just teething nappies. Have also just worked out that it was 10days since they were exposed to their cousin who now has chicken pox, am not sure what the symptons r though.
At least i got the living room and dc's bedrooms hovered yesterday, still haven't found the blanket, told DD she should put her toys back together instead of me doing it. ( not v. sympathetic )
DD is about to fall asleep, if DS gives in and has a nap i can get my 'thigh trainer' out, hopefully will make me feel a bit happier (so i've been told)

Had better go DS has another dirty nappy, 2nd in an hour!

I've emptied out the family and friends Christmas presents and had a good look through - can't find the book we bought for FiL or the journal for SiL Where on earth have I put them?! We have a HUGE Ikea bag for all the presents and I thought I'd been good at putting stuff in... Still need a couple of additional presents but all-in-all not too bad (phew!)

Washing machine is working flat out as is the tumble drier.

Can't be bothered to do the ironing....or clean the kitchen - I'll do it after dd has made her crown at the table - I'm not about to clean it all now only to do it again later. And I'll mop the floors before bed.

Have emptied cupboard in utility room and (trumpet fanfare) have found the missing presents! Yay! Soooo relieved!

Only an hour to go before the dcs come home so I need to complete some more from my list.
