Is it just me or does this smell a bit fousty? Noticed a strange whiff from freshly washed clothes this last week, especially once dry, and now I've just loaded up the washing machine, have some conditioner on my hands and they smell vile - anyone else noticed this?

I used to use this one until DH reckoned all our towels and clothes were "musty". On checking, it was tesco pure fabric conditioner. HAve now changed to Surf and something else (Can't for the life of me think what and really can't be bothered getting off my fat lazy bum to have a look). Everything smells much sweeter (even DH's socks - until they've been worn obviously ).

I use that Eco-Smart detergent (see top of page!) and a combination of Sainsburys Gentle (the big dilute bottle as my branch has stopped selling the concentrate) and Surcare concentrate, and my washing smells lurvely.

I'm glad it's not just me. I'll have to start oening bottles in the aisles to sniff them!
