Is it worth investing in something like a Vax or would I be better off paying a company to do the job every so often? Carpeted areas are the stairs, landing and bedrooms.

think a vax is worth investing in. i use mine at least 4 times a year. it's quite quick to use and useful for spills etc.

I currently have a bloke (steam I thought although I can't see much) cleaning our living room carpet, it will cost £38. I have no idea how good a job he will do, but I'm very pleased I don;t have to do it. However, every other flooring in our place is wood so it's not that big a job. If I had the whole place carpeted I may consider investing in a vax. My Mum and Dad had one, but it was never used though.
Hmmmm that was a lot of help!

I 'won' a vax rapide carpet cleaner on ebay for £29 and i love it! It cleans a treat without soaking carpets.
