Child marked the bath with orange duck!

BridgetGetTheGin · 29/07/2021 12:50

My child has marked the bath was a plastic orange duck. It's left marks and I've tried everything - bleach, JIF, scrubbing... Cilit Bang foam scum remover.

HELP...! 🥴

It's just a standard new build plastic bath!

Have you tried nail varnish remover?

Soubriquet · 29/07/2021 12:53

What about one of those flash sponges?

HummingBeeBox · 29/07/2021 12:53

Magic sponge? Incredible things

GCrebel · 29/07/2021 12:53

An eraser - like you would use for a penicillin? It got mysterious black marks off ours.

PineappleWilson · 29/07/2021 12:53

Magic sponges work. My DC did it with a black toy orca.

SausagePourHomme · 29/07/2021 12:54

Do not put nail varnish remover on..it can dissolve plastic

30degreesandmeltinghere · 29/07/2021 12:55

Magic sponge.

SmaugMum · 29/07/2021 12:55

Bicarbonate of soda on a damp cloth and rub.

HarrisMcCoo · 29/07/2021 12:56

Sorry all I saw was clit bang🤦🏻

HarrisMcCoo · 29/07/2021 12:57

I have just used multi purpose cleaner and gently rubbed the problem area when this happened a few months ago.

AgnesWaterhouse1566 · 29/07/2021 12:58

Try toothpaste rubbed on it. I vaguely remember posting an identical thread on here when my dcs were little (they're teens now) and toothpaste shifted it.

Almost made me misty eyed for a bathroom full of bath toys then!

ExplodingCarrots · 29/07/2021 12:59

The pink stuff and a scourer. Seriously , that removes anything .

SpacePotato · 29/07/2021 13:00

Washing up liquid on a scourer

Nahhh · 29/07/2021 13:00

Toothpaste will shift it

RampantIvy · 29/07/2021 13:01

Second toothpaste. It shifted plastic toy marks on our bath when DD was little.

BridgetGetTheGin · 29/07/2021 13:26

Right off to try the magic eraser, then toothpaste... will report back.

Magic eraser! There is nothing they can’t get off!

BridgetGetTheGin · 29/07/2021 13:31

Omg... the flash magic eraser. Literally speechless!!!!

I had a pack of 2 in the cupboard and although it needed some elbow grease, it worked like a charm! What a result! Thanks MN!!

I'd even poured bleach on the marks!

What on earth is in the eraser?

I honestly don’t know but it’s a miracle worker sometimes
billiebeeme · 29/07/2021 14:29

The pink stuff paste

Elbow grease

Magic sponge

Magic sponge gets most marks out of the things other stuff wouldn't, same for the pink stuff. Elbow grease a bit hit n miss for me but some folk swear by it.

PotteringAlong · 29/07/2021 14:36

Do not ask what’s in the eraser - I’m fairly sure we don’t want to know Grin

They are genius though
