TheMadHouse · 27/11/2007 09:07

Good morning all

Yadda
not deliveries for me - too far out in the sticks

en this is your wke up call, please can I have either mince pies or sponge. Thanks

I have done my morning routine and mission (4 ornements), got another load on in the washer - yes you guessed it DS2. The boys have been dressed, but are nor running round partially clothes, so I must find and redress.

Catch you all later. Oh and Tort hope you are feeling a bit more cheery today. I have my CBT at lunchtime so must also get all my paperwork out.

BiancaCastafiore · 27/11/2007 09:22

TMH sorry your ds is still poorly, well done for keeping up with all the laundry though! Hope the CBT goes well x

Yadda thanks fo rthe delivery info, looks as though it'll just be us for Christmas lunch so I hope to save some pennies and not need to do too much extra food shopping.

Right, I don't have to work today so have a couple of hours now to get the house straight.

Tuesdays are my downstairs day so I'll be hoovering, dusting and mopping. I also need to s&s the cloakroom and the utility room could do with some attention.
I never made it to the supermarket yesterday so will try to go after lunch.
I still haven't done my ironing

Christmas planning wise, I need to get all the gifts out and have a proper assessment of who we still need to buy for. Dh and I made it to Toys R Us last night and bought all but a couple of the pressies we wanted for the kids so that's a relief. Ds thinks he'd like a new scooter so we still need to research whether Santa can bring one or not
I think we've done pretty well and have almost all the pressies bought now, I hope sorting through won't through up anyone important that we've missed...

Well, another wash is done and another pillow is in the TD. I am so happy that we have spare bedding.

I am currently sorting the boys lunch. I did a chicken and ham pasta bake thing with red peppers cheese sauce and garlic and chilli with my left over roast and am going to do a quick curry for me and DH tonight.

I am hoping that they will both nap so I can get the rest of the ironing pile done and then some more stuff this afternoon.

I really miss DH when the boys are off colour

JenT · 27/11/2007 12:38

yadda thanks for that! was wide awake and had the house cleaned (though not the washing done) by 9am and my friends came untill 11am.
DS1 now home from school.
Got to take meals on wheels to old lady I look after, do ironing, clean bathrooms, tidy up toys, put stamps on Christmas cards and write a few birthday cards.
Bit more internet shopping - Yadda nearer christmas what is the likelyhood of them running out of stuff that I order? I think it would be brilliant to have a delivery on the 22nd but not sure if I should run the risk?
tmh hope everyone is feeling better soon, makes me appreciate the things my granny had to do when the kids were sick and she didn't have a washing machine!
bianca I think taking stock of christmas pressies is a great idea, I regularly get to christmas eve to find I have 2-3 pressies for the same person!
Off to get on with stuff..

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 27/11/2007 12:40

Morning...

Having a stressful day today...another row with dh and he has packed his bags and gone (again) we have been at this point soooo many times over the last 2 years I have lost count!
I'm only worried this time as it is nearly xmas and I'm worried for the kids, I don't think either of us care whether we work it out or not!

I am well and truly tired of it all.

I'm keeping on top of the house quite well...my burst at the weekend is paying off...just as well because today I just want to go back to bed...and hopefully wake up in a different life!

Sorry...

Anyway...mission has been done, I'm off to fix some lunch and put my washing away. I'm doing very well with that. I just got sidetracked by DD2's nappy, so I shall just finish putting the last pile away.

TheMadHouse · 27/11/2007 14:06

Oh Luda Hugs from the mad household. I hope you work it out - if you want to that is.

Jen where is my cake [stamping feet like a petulant 2 year old emotion]

DS1 is watching CARs as he could not get to sleep. DS2 is in cot, but has not eaten all day

SlightlyMadScreachingSirens · 27/11/2007 14:50

I'm BACK. I was worked out last week and shopped out at weekend (long & unsuccessful story)...but I am back now

Well after planning to spend all afternoon catching up with FLYland I have spent all afternoon blitzing my lounge windowsills down.

Now I have to dash for school run...so...if someone could kindly summarise the last 10 days comings and goings in FLYland I would appreciate it.

Will be bak after DDs are in bed....DP is working until 8pm...and I have the playdate from hell to host....catch you soon....

JenT · 27/11/2007 15:15

{hugs} O I don't know you well but hope that your duvet day does wonders and you wake up and a happier place.
TMH Here you go (hands out homemade cupcakes with baby pink and baby blue icing and multicoloured sprinkles) would you like some juice with that - perhaps a bit early for a glass of wine? Hope your monkeys are feeling better.
Hi SMSS nice to meet you

BiancaCastafiore · 27/11/2007 15:31

Oh Luda I've got to go and collect dd soon and then I've promised ds some computer time but I can be on MSN later if you need a chat x x
SMS good to see you Can't do the summary just now...will try to get back to you
JenT I sorted through some of the presents but will have to wait till the kids are in bed. I did find a calendar set which I was planning on dd making for PiL for Christmas so that was lucky - we'll need to get started if we want to do a decent picture each month!

Got to go, phones ringing!
Back later x

Neverenough · 27/11/2007 15:34

Hi all, like SMS have been away and then busy with lots of plates spinning in air.....DH pats me on back and leaves me to do it all....no I'm not whining...much....haven't even had time to decide on my festive name.
Will catch up later I hope!

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 27/11/2007 17:14

Hi all.
Made good progress today for once!
Front room is looking much tidier and windows/frames/sill is sparkling! Oh and curtain rail. That was pretty dirty.
Also bathroom been cleaned.

Luda Sorry to hear things are bad at the moment. Hope it all works out the way you want. I am also around on MSN if you ever want a chat.

TMH Hope ds is feeling better tonight.

Hello to everyone else!

Jas · 27/11/2007 20:28

Evening all

I've skimmed the bits missed, and noticed poorly people, tortoise decorating for Christmas and Luda having a bad day. I hope you sort something out one way or the other.

I'm ignoring FLYlady still, but most of the house is ok consideig the amount of dust and mess going on here. Hopefuly dp will put plasterboard up so I have the right number of rooms, and they all have ceilings by tomorrow. I'm sill not convinced. Everyhing always takes longer than he says it will.

No festive name here, yet, either, *Neverenough.

Is anyone going to the Chrismas meet in London next weekend? Or is it just me????

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 27/11/2007 21:40

Hi jas . hope ceilings are up by tomorrow.

I have been busy listing on Ebay. Getting bored with it now TBH! And i expect people are not buying clothes as much at the moment!
Nevermind. Might bring a few pennies in for me to spend again lol!

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2007 00:49

well DS2 has been sick again and all the bedding is again in the wash. He has an ear and chest infaction and if he keeps being sick he is not going to keep his medicine in.
